Brian Kennedy – Guitar Tutor

Brian Kennedy is a guitarist who has been teaching Guitar, Ukulele and delivering varying music programmes throughout the Mayo area for the last 15 years. Born in Castlebar, Brian started to learn the Flute and Piano at the age of seven and graduated to guitar in his early teens.

Brian received a First-Class Honours Degree in Music from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2010, specialising in Contemporary Performance and Music Technology. He currently works with Music Generation teaching Guitar and Ukulele, and delivering various music programmes in Schools throughout Mayo.

Brian has also played in many bands over the years as a vocalist and guitarist, playing in venues all over Ireland, the UK and Europe. He has embraced Blues, Rock and Country styles and has taught and performed these with many of the country’s finest musicians. He also enjoys playing other instruments such as bass guitar, mandolin, and drums.
