Music West are delighted to announce the creation of a new High Flyers Community Orchestra. This informal, supportive, non-intensive musical ensemble is designed for musicians over 16 years old who can read music and are Grade 3 or equivalent standard and above. The ensemble operates in a relaxed atmosphere where musicians can learn to play together and improve their musical skills and perform in concerts and community events.

Join us with your instrument to play popular music favourites as Blue Danube, Harry Potter Medley, James Bond, Camptown Races and Phantom of the Opera Medley. All Brass, String, Woodwind, Percussion and Guitar players catered for.

Our conductor Catherine McGlinchey has a wealth musical experience and is a music and pre-instrumental tutor at Music West.

The Community Orchestra is named ‘High Flyers’ as we welcome everyone that wants to improve their musical skills and play music with other like minded musicians. With the help of the community orchestra all members will be fly high and achieving their musical goals. In addition our purpose built premises at Music West is on the site of the former Castlebar Airport.
