Musical Activities

In addition to running music lessons and  a series of orchestras, bands and ensembles, Music West provide the opportunity for members of the public to participate in a number of musical activities.

Our activities aim to build an appreciation of music, the musical process and the different instruments involved as well as musical skills. 

Music Magic 

Music Magic  is a pre-instrumental programme for young children (aged 5-8 years), training children in the fundamental skills of music in a fun and age appropriate way.

Summer Camps

Music West hold summer camps providing access to to a range of musical activities in a fun and interactive way and introduce children to a range of different musical instruments and musical activities

Summer Sessions

Summer sessions is an ensemble which we run over the summer months when our other orchestras , bands etc are on hiatus. The summer sessions gives the opportunity for musicians of any age or skill to join a weekly no intensive music ensemble. It provides the opportunity for Music West musicians to integrate with musicians outside our organisation and carry on playing music together over the summer.
